An assurance from the manufacturer that their timber product, if maintained according to their policy, will resist rot within a 10 year period.
Sustainably Sourced Timber
The timber used for this product was obtained from a managed resource, where responsible forest management and re-planting are employed.
Pressure Treatment
Wood is placed into an airtight tank, by vacuum the air is replaced with preservative. This superior process extends lifespan allowing in-ground use.
Square Edge
A simple cladding method where square-cut boarding is secured in a solid butted or open slatted format to a parallel arrangement.
Description
The Zest Caroline Companion Seat is a pair of Caroline Chairs joined by a table and shelf.
The entire companion seat is constructed of pressure treated timber.
The seats are a classic slatted design, the back panels are made of vertical slats topped with a gently domed section.

The wood has some rough edges and the wood pattern on the 2 seats is not the same. Otherwise it seems ok but only time will tell. (ONE GARDEN COMMENT: With wood being a natural product no two pieces will ever be the same "pattern", as each timber element has a unique grain. Sorry to hear of the "rough" edges which can be lightly sanded to resolve, although we will of course relay your feedback to Zest.)

The Caroline Companion set was delivered along with 2 of the Lily sets. They were reasonably well packaged and fairly uncomplicated to assemble although there were one or two little bits that I would have changed in the instructions. They are very well made and look brilliant in our garden when it isn't raining. We'd seen these items in our local garden centre at much higher prices plus a delivery cost. One Garden was free delivery plus we saved over £100 on the three items. One thing I would say is that although we are happy with the price, they aren't cheap items and we want them to last. One Garden should consider sending a 'Care' sheet to help you look after the sets and state the actual colour of stain so that we can keep it in tip top condition. (ONE GARDEN COMMENT: We're pleased you're enjoying your Zest items and thanks for the feedback. The finished appearance results naturally from the vacuum pressure treatment process (which cannot be bottled), therefore no defined matching colour exists to guide you. When re-treating the product simply purchase a water-based preservative of your personal colour preference.)
