Palisade is a low-level, open style of fencing best suited to front gardens to demarcate a boundary or to create a decorative effect. Also known as picket fencing, these fence panels are 6ft (1.829m) wide as standard and formed from sawn square edge pales secured to horizontal timber rails. Two different tops are available for the vertical boards, or pales; value square or attractive round.
