Installation
Product composition
Most of the products sold by One Garden are commonly supplied in a flat-pack and/or component form, ready for self-assembly and installation by the customer.
Self assembly
Instructions and fixings will be delivered with the product (where applicable) and our understanding is that all products can be installed with a grasp of basic DIY knowledge and practical ability, using a few hand tools (drill, hammer, screwdrivers, pliers etc.) Please refer to and follow any instructions provided. If you have not received your instructions and believe that there should be some, please contact us at support@onegarden.co.uk
Professional assembly
Many garden buildings have the option, for an additional fee, to be installed professionally by the manufacturers' own installation team. Typically, delivery and installation will occur in the same day but in some instances delivery will be made first with the installers arriving at a later date. The installers will require a firm, level base of concrete or paving to be ready and available to them in order to complete the task. The base should be clear of any debris or overhanging branches. If the base is unsuitable or inaccessable then the installers will be unable to complete their task and the installation will be aborted. An abortive installation charge will be levied and retained from the cost of the initial installation. If the customer chooses to have the installers return at a later date once the issue with the base has been resolved then an additional charge will be levied for the installers to re-visit. If you have any queries about the suitability of your base before you order, please contact support@onegarden.co.uk and if possible, include a picture of your base with appropriate measurements included. The installation services offered only apply to the building, not any additional products or options also purchased. Installation services offered do not include dismantling or removal of an existing building or preparation of the base.
Garden buildings
It is recommended that garden buildings are installed onto a firm and level base, with a further recommendation of the base being concrete or correctly laid and levelled paving slabs. If a customer decides to situate a building on an uneven surface structural instability issues will occur, impairing the lifespan of the product; voiding the warranty.
Play equipment
Children’s play equipment which includes a raised platform should be level and stable before any child is allowed to use it. If you are at all concerned about the groundwork, the posts used for the platform should be set into or anchored to the ground using fence post spikes (available at most garden and hardware stores).
