Although we are delighted with the summerhouse, one or two issues arose. The summerhouse was dumped beside our house a day before it was due, by an extremely rude driver. We also needed to buy longer nails for the roof. Otherwise we are pleased with our purchase.

Really helpful call centre. Lovely and helpful delivery person. The summerhouse looks great. If you can afford for it to built then do… building it yourself is not for the faint hearted but with careful planning it can be done… even by a none DIY person! Be prepared to buy longer tacks for the roof felt. It is very much worth painting inside and out (as recommended) before building. We used foam filler and clear sealant to make water tight (probably our errors not getting panels tight). Love it so far so all in all 4 stars (star lost for extra purchases needed and directions are a little patchy at times).

Great service - arrived on time. Delivered by a decent driver. Nothing missing either. Assembly was straightforward once we’d painted it. After reading some other reviews I decided to use more screws in the roof assembly than stated (double the amount). Still seems very flimsy when moving it into place - however it sat on like a dream. Looking fantastic in my garden.

The service from One Garden and Shire has been good. The build is satisfactory. Had problems with placing the six roof felt strips on the triangle corners as the 8mm felt nails were not long enough and would simply pop out during the process. They should be at least be 10mm for this process as we are securing two 3mm thick felts

Received the summerhouse on time and am very pleased with it. I spent a few days painting it both inside and out as well as waterproofing the base with a Bitumen paint. I used the felt supplied as a underlay for the addition of felt shingles which greatly enhance the appearance of the summerhouse. The quality is very good albeit the felt nails are too short. The roof is a bit fiddly to assemble and with the felt shingles was very heavy and took 4 people to lift it in to position. The glass was easy to fit and I was pleasantly surprised to see it is tempered safety glass.

Very pleased with the Shire Gazebo Summerhouse and the price which One Garden cannot be beaten on. Managed to do most of the assembly by myself but assistance is preferable and for the roof construction and lifting into place, is essential. I gave 2 coats of wood preserver before construction and filled and sanded nail holes. When completed, I painted with coloured wood preserver. 2 of the 3 packs of tempered glass were soaking wet with water. This must have occurred at despatch from Shire and trying to separate a pair of panes, they shattered. Shire Customer Services were very helpful and sent replacement panes. After the first heavy rain fall, I noticed 3 wet patches on the floor at 3 corners the corner post connects with the floor. This is a weak point of the design since the floor corners stick out by about 2 cm. I devised a skirt made out of damp proof - essentially a n inverted "T", with the stem stapled and then screwed onto the outside of the post and draped over the protruding corner. The top bar of the inverted "T" was then folded into the groove on the bottom of both side panels. So far this has kept the floor completely dry during and after rain.

Really pleased with the summerhouse. The delivery driver was really helpful explaining all parts and making sure everything was there. The instructions were easy to follow and my son and I easily erected it in one day. It now looks great really happy and would highly recommend. Only negative was the delay in delivery but well worth the wait.

Lovely Summerhouse, good value for money. Reasonably easy to construct, it took my husband and me about a week all told from painting the panels to getting the roof on (the only thing we needed help with). We painted the inside as well and leaded the windows, so obviously that added extra time. A couple of things on the downside, when the panels were constructed, the pressure of the nail gun must have been quite high because the nails were driven in a long way which resulted in us spending 2 days filling in all the holes with wood filler and then repainting. The only other thing was as someone else has mentioned, the tacks for the roof felting were too short.

Nice shed and good price. The only thing I would say it that I had to use thicker gauge screws for joining the roof panels roof and longer nails for the felt where it overlapped

Fairly satisfied with the gazebo, wood treatment not very special, felt roof nails were too small drawing pins would have been longer than the nails you supplied had to buy longer nails. Sales and delivery cannot fault. (ONE GARDEN COMMENT: Thank you for your feedback. Felt nails are designed to be ‘short’ to avoid penetration of the roof boarding beneath the felt, likewise the timbers receive a temporary base coat ‘storage’ treatment only as the customer should re-treat the product on assembly. We will naturally share your feedback with the manufacturer Shire.)

Very pleased with the Summer house. Good value and nicely made - the glazed door and large opening windows are a nice touch. Assembly is quite easy although the roof is quite heavy to fit and care is needed with the roof felt. Surely this is one of the better products at this end of the market.
