Description
The Yardmaster 68ZGEY shed is an all-zinc painted alternative to the popular GEYZ green and zinc range of metal sheds.
This metal shed benefits from standard features which include rust-free screws, a ventilated and high-gabled profiled roof and free anchor bolt fixings; to secure the shed to your concrete or paved solid base. The double door is of the sliding variety, being complete with handles holed to accept a customer-supplied padlock and an overlapping feature to keep the weather out.
This garden building also comes complete with a steel floor support kit. This kit creates a sturdy metal framework that sits inside the shed to support a floor covering of your choice. Many people choose to use plywood sheets which are easy to obtain from most large DIY stores. An added benefit of using the floor support kit is that it enables you to create a raised, dry floor surface, clear of your concrete base.
This 68ZGEY apex metal shed is supplied in a zinc painted finish as part of the 7-layer anti-corrosion protection process offered by Yardmaster across their range of quality hot-dipped galvanized buildings. The strong yet neat looking ribbed wall and roof panels are thicker and harder to dent, with folded edges for safe assembly.
Supplied with a DIY assembly manual, the flat-pack components are clearly numbered for self-assembly. A common installation involves screwing the pre-holed metal profiled sheeting to a skeleton-style framework, complete with a base rail.
Yardmaster are Europe's largest manufacturer of maintenance-free metal sheds, which are renown for their 'baked on permanent colour finish'.

Delivery was as promised and assembly was straight forward although fitting the roof was quite fiddly as with two people we found an extra pair of hands would have been easier. Well pleased with the final result. One comment i think might help others is if they are fitting shelves purchased from Yardmaster it might be easier when assembling the walls and not after it is completed. I managed to get mine in but it was fiddly trying to line up all the pre drilled holes.

Great shed. Put it together myself in a day. Needed help getting the roof on though. I got the floor kit and boarded it out. I’ve had no leaks and the floor frame keeps the board off the ground and dry. I’ve read reviews that say they leak but after two to three weeks of rain it’s held up nicely. No more replacing roof felt. No more painting. Looks nice and very happy. PS. I had a part missing so called the company and had it delivered within a couple of days. Check all the parts before assembling. You don’t want to get half way through and have to stop.

The shed arrived sooner than expected and while we were not at home. The delivery was left about 50 metres away and out of doors so open to the weather at a house with a similar (but obviously different name). We then had to struggle to move a 75kg cardboard container to where it should have been placed under our carport. This was hard work! The shed itself took the anticipated length of time to erect. It took around 8 hours to place those hundreds of self tapping screws. The instructions, although purely graphic plans were OK for me as an engineer but some may find them difficult to follow as we had a few issues in understanding the diagrams. The shed itself is quite good but leaks in the centre of each roof slope where the metal overlaps allow water to splash up and through in heavy rain. We are putting in a few more screws to stop this. Overall a good purchase.

Just finished building and very pleased. Structurally sound and firm if built with care and patience. Definitely needs two people. One criticism. The parts including bags could be better labelled (and perhaps some ink on the printer).
