Folded Edge

A feature of Yardmaster's sliding doors, where the closing stile profile of each door is shaped to overlap the other to keep out rain and snow.

Description
The Yardmaster 64GPZ shed is a green variant based on the popular Yardmaster PZ family of compact pent roof metal sheds.
This metal shed benefits from standard features which include rust-free screws, a ventilated profiled roof and free anchor bolt fixings; to secure the shed to your concrete or paved solid base. The double door is of the sliding variety, being complete with handles holed to accept a customer-supplied padlock and an overlapping feature to keep the weather out.
This 64GPZ pent metal shed is supplied in a green painted finish as part of the 7-layer anti-corrosion protection process offered by Yardmaster across their range of hot-dipped galvanized buildings. The strong yet neat looking ribbed wall and roof panels are thicker and harder to dent, with folded edges for safe assembly.
Supplied with a DIY assembly manual, the flat-pack components are clearly numbered for self-assembly. A common installation involves screwing the pre-holed metal profiled sheeting to a skeleton-style framework, complete with a base rail.
Yardmaster are Europe's largest manufacturer of maintenance-free metal sheds, which are renown for their 'baked on permanent colour finish'.

Bought this shed to replace a wooden one that had served me well for many years. Once assembled (a 2 man job, quite time consuming to follow instructions with many numbered parts in the box) the shed looks good and I am pleased with it now. I chose to install a raised wooden floor rather than risk water egress along the slab base. Also I constructed strong wooden shelving along one short side and the rear (L-shaped) to make the most of the internal space since you cannot hang any tools etc along the walls as you would in a wooden shed. So, reorganised our other wooden shed for garden tools and the metal one for storage....SORTED!

It was a shame some the contents of the package were damaged without damage to the packing itself but replacement panels where sent within a few days so happy with the customer service.
However I was disappointed with the quality of the shed, the metal is wafer thin and many of the screws just didn't grip continually stripping threads in the steelwork. It would have been a good idea to supply enough of the speed fasteners for all the screws or larger diameter screws. The assembly instructions are not brilliant but then what instructions are, specially when lots of the parts and parts bags didn't have identification labels on them.
With regards assembly it is fine if you have lots of space around it but if it is in a confined space it is difficult to do, had to assemble it and then move it into position however that may not be the norm for most installations. I will say that for the price you get what you pay for so don't expect a heavy duty shed but hopefully a longer lasting one than a wooden one. -

My son and I found assembly to be a pretty straight-forward task, though it took us six hours to complete, including cutting and laying a 7-ply wooden floor. It was good to find plenty more than enough screws and washers included in the pack. I made the job easier by marking in red ink on the identity stickers of individual parts - in advance of starting assembly - what each part of the structure they related to. I'm delighted with the final structure.

very flimsy metal, held together by tiniest of screws, expected better for what i paid. Im sure if i didnt bolt it down, it would probably get taken away by a strong wind. Dont lean anything up against it inside, it would probably buckle the metal. The guarantee only covers the paintwork, not the shed. The instructions were pretty poor. Once made up, it looks a nice shed, but not well made.
