Mineralized Roofing Felt
A garden building roofing felt in its commonest form. Coated externally with small stone flakes or grit to deter the effects of weathering.
Styrene
Styrene, Polycarbonate and Acrylic are all terms for tough, single sheet plastic glazing. Styrene will not shatter like glass, so it is ideal for playhouses.
Hasp and Staple
A steel hasp and staple is used to secure wooden gates. Interlocked when closed and securable by a padlock (not supplied). Style can vary.
Description
The Shire Overlap Garden Shed 10x6 with Double Doors is part of a range of apex roof sheds made from kiln-dried timber, making them much more resistant to warping.
They feature 34x34mm thickness framing that is usually reserved for more expensive tongue and groove buildings.
Each of these Overlap sheds have a higher eaves height when compared to the equivalent size, regular overlap buildings allowing more headroom inside the shed.
This 10x6 shed also features windowed side panels that can be placed on either side of the building to best suit the position of the shed in your garden.
The glazing is safety styrene to the fixed windows. The roof and floor are formed from a solid sheet boarding, again on a 34x34mm framing.
The wall panels are constructed of overlap cladding and supplied in modular sections. The main advantage of a modular design is that each individual panel will be small enough (in one or both dimensions) to be carried by one person and will fit through a standard pedestrian door. As a concequence the individual boards may not line up perfectly with those on adjacent panels, due to the variences in the natural timber cladding.
Access is provided by a handy wide double door, complete with a hasp and staple (customer to supply padlock).

The shed is a good size and has at last been erected. The delivery driver was very helpful and all the parts seemed to be present. The main problems are with the manufacture quality of the shed, which is poor. Examples include gaps in the pre-fab sections and holes in the wood. Most problematically two of the window panes did not fit, which required planing the wood surrounds to expand the area. In summary, a good shed for the purpose, but spoiled by the manufacturing quality. which I would have expected to be better for a shed of this price.

Reasonable quality for the price. A bit fiddly to erect, some longer screws needed in places, half the battens to hold the windows in were too long. Nails to hold felt on a bit like drawing pins. Longer nails could be provided where nailing into roof battens is possible. Some windows had to be cut to fit.

A bit disappointed by the quality of this shed. Quite a few examples of nails missing their target, warped roof panel. One Garden was quick to deliver the shed as requested, however, left me a bag for 12x6 she'd which meant instructions showed some different measurements and window parts wrong. (I queried at the time but was told 10 and 12 ft sheds same). No problem with One Garden, but I would reconsider this type of shed\building next time. (ONE GARDEN COMMENT: Thank you for your valued feedback. We were sorry to hear of the nailing issue, we will duly relay this information to the delivering manufacturer (Shire) in respect to quality control.)

Good quality but low headroom because of inner roof support. The door quality was poor because it was too flimsy and wouldn't open right back as it hit lower apex of shed roof. To overcome these issues I changed and repositioned door hinges and had to strengthen the doors and saw off a large piece of the lower apex again to allow doors to fully open.
