Oriented Strand Board also known as OSB. Layers of wood flakes set within a glue-like resin, compressed into a solid sheet. Common in sheds.
Mineralized Roofing Felt
A garden building roofing felt in its commonest form. Coated externally with small stone flakes or grit to deter the effects of weathering.
Styrene
Styrene, Polycarbonate and Acrylic are all terms for tough, single sheet plastic glazing. Styrene will not shatter like glass, so it is ideal for playhouses.
Hasp and Staple
A steel hasp and staple is used to secure wooden gates. Interlocked when closed and securable by a padlock (not supplied). Style can vary.
Description
The Shire Overlap Garden Shed 10x8 with Windows is part of a range of apex roof sheds made from kiln-dried timber, making them much more resistant to warping.
They feature 34x34mm thickness framing that is usually reserved for more expensive tongue and groove buildings.
Each of these Overlap sheds have a higher eaves height when compared to the equivalent size, regular overlap buildings allowing more headroom inside the shed.
This 10x8 shed also features windowed side panels that can be placed on either side of the building to best suit the position of the shed in your garden.
The glazing is safety styrene to the fixed windows. The roof and floor are formed from a solid sheet boarding, again on a 34x34mm framing.
The wall panels are constructed of overlap cladding and supplied in modular sections. The main advantage of a modular design is that each individual panel should be small enough (in one or both dimensions) to be carried by one person. As a concequence the individual boards may not line up perfectly with those on adjacent panels, due to the variences in the natural timber cladding.
Access is provided by a handy wide double door, complete with a hasp and staple (customer to supply padlock).

Delivery was prompt and well organised - I knew what was happening and when and the comms were good. The kit contained all the parts required as well as plenty of spare screws and so on. The quality isn't great - you'd suspect they are struggling to keep up with demand as more than a few nails had gone awry in the build and were sticking out of the boards at strange angles. Easy enough to correct but vexatious for an expensive product. Likewise instruction booklet could be clearer as there were several pieces screwed on (to protect from damage) but it wasn't clear what should and shouldn't have been removed. We've done a few sheds and this took longer than most but now it's up and painted it does look smart so am satisfied.

Brilliant shed but only problem was the roof felt nails aren't long enough. In the strong winds the felt was ripped up clean away, nails and all. And yes we had hammered them in properly :-) . I had a problem with one of the panels of 'glass' also, which was no fault of anyone, so contacted Onegarden and they sorted the problem out straight away with the shed company - who replaced the items and the damaged roof felt. The delivery driver was amazing too. Kept me up to date with the delivery times, very polite and extremely helpful. I would recommend the shed and the company - which I am already doing to others on my allotment. Well done and thank you :-)

We are really pleased with the shed. We bought it in the Sale and it is a good size and is of good quality. My husband and son put it together and it was pretty straight forward, but an electric screwdriver will be helpful for anyone else embarking on this project.
