Description
Constructed of full panel tongue and groove sections, the modular design of this Shire Apex shed allows you to decide the location of the window of your shed as you build it.
The wall panels are constructed of tongue and groove cladding and supplied in modular sections. The main advantage of a modular design is that each individual panel will be small enough (in one or both dimensions) to be carried by one person and will fit through a standard pedestrian door. As a consequence the individual boards may not line up perfectly with those on adjacent panels, due to the variances in the natural timber cladding.
The tongue and groove floor gives added stability and strength. Full fixings and instructions are provided with the shed along with felt for the roof.

Construction/assembly is difficult on account of the design I.e the rear & two side panels are split in half, the roof has 4 panels, the floor has 2 and the door elevation has 3 sections. The windows requires assembly also, which meant buying putty to fix the thin glass window in place and then trimming the beading. Other roof struts needed sawing down to size so all in all it was like a huge jigsaw puzzle which causes flexing when constructing. The roof is made of 4 sections and it so difficult to to fit into place because of the movement & miss alignments & the entire shed needs to be treated or painted. On account of all this I would not recommend it, however the wood is a decent quality & the finished product is aesthetically acceptable.

The shed is easy to erect. There is movement on the walls which could be fixed by cross bracing the gables. The door could be more robust with additional security. J Marran (ONE GARDEN COMMENT: Thank you for your feedback. The suggested enhancements could add additional benefit but at an increased cost of course. Based on range hierarchy, the present specification aligns with this model's target price point).
