Square Edge
A simple cladding method where square-cut boarding is secured in a solid butted or open slatted format to a parallel arrangement.
OSB (Oriented Strand Board)
Oriented Strand Board also known as OSB. Layers of wood flakes set within a glue-like resin, compressed into a solid sheet. Common in sheds.
Mineralized Roofing Felt
A garden building roofing felt in its commonest form. Coated externally with small stone flakes or grit to deter the effects of weathering.
Description
The Shire Sawn Log Box is a simple log chest with hinged lid and slatted sides and base for improved airflow. The lid is made from solid sheet board and felt is supplied to provide some protection from the weather.
Chains are provided to prevent the lid from over-extending. Sides and lid are all fully framed, providing excellent strength and support. Made from pressure treated timber to reduce the likelihood of rot or decay.

This is a terrific box at a great price. It's a really good size, is very solid and offers strong protection from the rain - with the open slats allowing the wood to breathe without getting soaked in a heavy downpour. Looks great too! It needs assembling the good old-fashioned way i.e. by screwing together, so you need to be a competent DIY-er (or at this price, pay someone else to do it - it's still a bargain!)
