Sustainably Sourced Timber
The timber used for this product was obtained from a managed resource, where responsible forest management and re-planting are employed.
Pressure Treatment
Wood is placed into an airtight tank, by vacuum the air is replaced with preservative. This superior process extends lifespan allowing in-ground use.
Square Edge
A simple cladding method where square-cut boarding is secured in a solid butted or open slatted format to a parallel arrangement.
Half Lap
Strong timber construction method featuring interlocking butt joints. Typically interlocking at the corners for max. strength against warping.
Description
A 1.8m wide, 45cm tall raised bed made from 30mm thick, pressure treated timber sleepers. Being 45cm tall, it is designed for growing small to medium plants and shrubs. Capacity approx 700 litres.
Not supplied with a base (floor) as standard but this allows you to integrate this raised bed directly into your garden. An optional base allows you to convert this raised bed into a stand-alone planter for use on a patio, decking or lawn.

These raised beds are great - easily assembled and save a lot of bending! They are sturdy. I lined mine with weed preventing membrane and just placed on the (fairly flat) soil. A couple of the top slats were warped on arrival but this was dealt with quickly by onegarden and replacements were sent to me. This was all during covid difficulties so I was very impressed with the service.
