Shiplap Tongue & Groove
A tongue & groove boarding offering a smooth planed finish. Each upper face is shaped with a shallow curve to offer a shiplap, overlapping appearance.
OSB (Oriented Strand Board)
Oriented Strand Board also known as OSB. Layers of wood flakes set within a glue-like resin, compressed into a solid sheet. Common in sheds.
Mineralized Roofing Felt
A garden building roofing felt in its commonest form. Coated externally with small stone flakes or grit to deter the effects of weathering.
Styrene
Styrene, Polycarbonate and Acrylic are all terms for tough, single sheet plastic glazing. Styrene will not shatter like glass, so it is ideal for playhouses.
Roller Catch
A simple, push-to-close door retaining catch. Often used on wooden playhouses as a non-locking safety feature. Style and design may vary by product.
Description
The Shire Kitty Playhouse is a woodland cabin-style wooden playhouse, looking like it came straight out of a classic fairy tale.
The Kitty playhouse is made from a smooth finished tongue and groove cladding, with a solid sheet OSB floor and roof. Safety hinges are provided to prevent little fingers from becoming trapped. The windows are glazed with a safety styrene, a tough plastic that does not shatter like glass when broken.
A small front facing veranda with side balustrades along with attractive roof capping strips finishes the look of the playhouse. Mineralized felt is provided to cover the roof.
Full instructions will be supplied upon delivery, along with all the fixtures and fittings needed to install the playhouse.
