A steel hasp and staple is used to secure wooden gates. Interlocked when closed and securable by a padlock (not supplied). Style can vary.
Description
The Shire Overlap Windowless Shed 6x6 Double Door shed is part of a range sheds made from kiln-dried timber making them much more resistant to warping.
They feature 34x34mm thickness framing that is usually reserved for more expensive tongue and groove buildings.
Each of these Overlap sheds have a higher eaves height when compared to the equivalent size, regular overlap buildings allowing more headroom inside the shed.
The fully boarded (no windows) design allows you to keep your contents hidden away from prying eyes, as an added security feature. The roof and floor are formed from a solid sheet boarding, again on a 34x34mm framing.
The wall panels are constructed of overlap cladding and supplied in modular sections. The main advantage of a modular design is that each individual panel will be small enough (in one or both dimensions) to be carried by one person and will fit through a standard pedestrian door. As a concequence the individual boards may not line up perfectly with those on adjacent panels, due to the variences in the natural timber cladding.
Access is provided by a handy double door, complete with a hasp and staple (customer to supply padlock).

The shed was delivered well (second time, because it was damaged on loading, the first time). We were grateful the company were careful to deliver good products. On arrival, and building, the instructions were not easy to follow in places and trying to get the panels at strict right angles, in all dimensions is so difficult and the impact of that is the roof was misaligned. I think that would be the same for any shed of the same type though. Quality of the roof felt tacks is low, and pop off quite easily. Otherwise, the finished products is good - thank you.

Unfortunately this is not a good quality product. The doors are not very sturdy and do not fit, there are gaps all round which potentially will let in the elements. Also lots of knotting holes throughout the entire shed making it not water tight.

Great communication, delivery man took everything into my side garden as I would've struggled. Please read instructions first, hubby didn't and when it came to putting the roof on it didn't fit ! Had to take down and start again which wasn't too bad because it is so easy to put up. Downside was the doors didn't fit although they were stated measurements but the door opening was 5 cms narrower. So we trimmed a bit of each door. Perfect. Oh lots of knot holes which is the only down side. Great price, is it as sturdy as more expensive ones but we've added lots more screws and some wooden braces. Painted it in grey, thirsty wood haha 3 coats. All in all very happy

The floor was very poor quality, so I had to buy boarding to strengthen it. (ONE GARDEN COMMENT: We are sorry to hear of your flooring disappointment, as the standard specification of solid sheet flooring included is certainly appropriate and the default for an entry-level wooden shed of the type purchased. For a more robust floor, a tongue and groove shed should be considered, although their cost in far greater due to the use of machined T&G over a solid sheet material.)

Wood panels very thin, in places you can see light penetrating the wood, quite a lot of knot holes that popped out. Decided to add extra support beams to the wooden floor as far too flexible.
